Over 110 Million Somoni Allocated for the Development of Seed Production in Khatlon Region

DUSHANBE, 30.06.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Currently, 37 seed farms are working in the Khatlon region in the direction of harvesting raw cotton and grain.
To date, 2,264,000 somoni from the budget and 108,000,000 somoni from extrabudgetary funds have been allocated for the implementation of the «Program for the development of seed production in the Khatlon region for 2021-2025.»
The program is medium-term and is aimed at increasing the yield of agricultural crops, increasing the production of high-yielding varieties.
The development of seed production, the introduction of new and high-yielding seeds, the supply of domestic markets with agricultural products, the expansion of work on creation and improvement, preparation for the autumn-winter season will allow achieving high performance.
