DUSHANBE, 23.06.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan is taking measures to fulfill the instructions of the President Emomali Rahmon to reduce the impact of potential risks on the national economy and to implement the governmental decree “On the Action Plan to Prevent the Impact of Potential Risks on the National Economy.”
To this end, on June 22, a regular meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for Coordinating the Implementation of Macroeconomic Policy and Preventing the Impact of Potential Risks on the National Economy was held in Dushanbe.
It was noted that as a result of taking the necessary measures, the stability of macroeconomic indicators was ensured. Despite the influence of external factors, for 5 months of 2023, the volume of gross domestic product amounted to 41 billion somoni, and its real development was 8.2%.
It was emphasized that in order to reduce electricity losses in the republic, 6 investment projects worth $279.1 million are currently being implemented.
