DUSHANBE, 12.06.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The judo team of Tajikistan consisting of 10 people will take part in the 2023 Qazaqstan Barysy Grand Slam.

The tournament will be held in Astana from June 16 through June 18 as part of the World Judo Tour.

It will be attended by more than 300 athletes from 43 countries. Tajikistan will be represented by 10 athletes among men, including Muhammadsoleh Kuvvatov (-60kg), Mehrzod Sufiev (-60kg), Emomali Nurali (-66kg), Obid Jebov (-66kg), Shodmon Rizoev (-81kg), Somon Mahmadbekov (-81kg), Umedjon Rajabov (-90kg), Isroil Rahimov (-100kg), Temur Rahimov (+100kg) and Shakarmamad Mirmamadov (+100kg).

The total prize fund is €150,000. Winners in all 14 weight categories will receive prizes of €5,000, silver medal winners — €3,000 and bronze medalists — €1,500.
