Tajikistan and Qatar Expand Cooperation in Tourism and Entrepreneurial Activity

DUSHANBE, 12.06.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 8, in Dushanbe, as part of the state visit of the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Tajikistan, a Memorandum was signed between the Government of Tajikistan and the Government of the State of Qatar on cooperation in the field of tourism and entrepreneurial activity.
The purpose of signing the document is to establish and expand cooperation in the field of tourism and entrepreneurial activity, thus strengthening a larger set of cooperation relations, including in the economic, trade, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
According to this document, the parties cooperate on the basis of the principles of equality and mutually beneficial interest on the basis of the national legislation of the states.
Its implementation is expedient in the interests and in the name of the well-being of the people of both states and the development of relations between travel agencies.
The implementation of this document is assessed as positive for the exchange of tourists between the travel agencies, attracting tourists from the State of Qatar to Tajikistan and, in general, for the development of the country’s tourism sector.
The broad establishment of fruitful and promising cooperation in the field of tourism will provide a favorable basis for increasing the number of tourists, the volume of mutual trade, investment in the development of tourism infrastructure and bringing mutual cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
