$611 Million Foreign Investments Attracted to the Tajik Banking System

DUSHANBE, 18.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – In the first half of 2023, $611 million of foreign investments were attracted to the country’s banking system. This figure is 20% more than last year, reports the National Bank of Tajikistan.
During the reporting period, the country’s banking system issued loans for over 9.2 billion somoni, which is 2.7 billion somoni or 42% more, compared to the same period last year.
As of the reporting date, the savings balance amounted to almost 17 billion somoni, which is 47.9% or 5.5 billion somoni more compared to the same date last year, which is a positive result of the country’s banking system.
