Tajik Sughd Region and Russian Sverdlovsk Region Strengthen Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 13.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On July 11, the Chairman of the Sughd Region Rajabboy Ahmadzoda met with the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region as part of a working trip to Russia.
The meeting focused on the strengthening of regional relations between the Sughd and Sverdlovsk regions.
It was informed that mining and metallurgical and light industries are developed in the Sughd region, as well as large industrial enterprises operate. There are opportunities for processing and production of minerals, cotton, fruits, vegetables, medicines, household appliances, and Tajik entrepreneurs are ready to expand cooperation with Russian investors.
The Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region called economic ties a priority area of bilateral cooperation and expressed readiness to develop cooperation in the areas of industry, agriculture, education and healthcare, and train teachers of Russian-speaking schools.
