Tajik Wrestlers Win Four Medals on the First Day of the Asian Wrestling Championship

DUSHANBE, 14.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On the first day of the Asian Championship in freestyle wrestling and Greco-Roman wrestling, Tajik junior athletes won four medals, including two gold and two bronze.
The championship will be held from July 12 through July 20 in Amman, Jordan, among U-15 and U-20 athletes.
The gold medals were won by Damir Otaev in the weight of 44 kg and Alisher Ruzimadov in the weight of up to 75 kg. Amirjon Obidov in the weight of 52 kg and Shohjahon Boboev in the weight of 57 kg won bronze medals.
The tournament was completed for Tajik athletes Murod Munimi (41 kg), Mahdi Barotov (48 kg), Alijon Mirgiyoszoda (62 kg) and Ganijon Sheroz (68 kg).
