DUSHANBE, 21.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The torch of the Asian Games has arrived in the Chinese city of Hangzhou. Tajik athlete, Olympic champion Dilshod Nazarov took part in this ceremony.

The torch relay ceremony began on September 8 at Sihui Lake in Hangzhou. Olympic swimming champion Luo Xuezuan was the first to take the torch. The Summer Games torch relay continued in 11 cities in Zhejiang Province until September 20.

On September 20, the competition torch was delivered to Hangzhou. On this day, together with others, the champion of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, winner of 3 gold and 1 silver medal of the Asian Games, Nazarov, number 162, took the relay.

Among the representatives of 45 countries, Nazarov is the only representative of Tajikistan to whom the torch relay of the Asian Games was passed.

Thus, the torch will be carried throughout the day throughout the Hangzhou until the opening ceremony of the Games.
