Tajikistan and the Eurasian Development Bank Sign an Investment Agreement

DUSHANBE, 23.11.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – As part of the official visit of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Russia, the Government of Tajikistan and the Eurasian Development Bank signed an agreement on the allocation of an investment loan from the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development to finance the project “Updating the Irrigation System”.
The main goal of the project is to increase the capacity of irrigation systems in Tajikistan. It will be implemented in Zafarobod district.
The total cost of the project is $32 million and is fully financed by a concessional loan from the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development.
The project begins in 2024 and is scheduled for completion in 2029.
