Tajik Ministry of Finance Is Implementing Reforms in the Public Financial Management System with the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of Turkiye

DUSHANBE, 05.01.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Issues of cooperation towards the implementation of reform in the public financial management system, in particular in the education and health sector in the framework of cooperation with the World Health Organization and the World Bank, digitalization of the public service system, development of non-cash payments and the state electronic payment system, as well as issues related to management of public finances were discussed during the meeting of the Minister of Finance of Tajikistan Fayziddin Kahhorzoda with the Minister of Treasury and Finance of Turkiye Mehmet Şimşek in Ankara.
It was noted that holding such meetings would facilitate the study and exchange of experience for the implementation of the Public Finance Management Strategy of Tajikistan for the period until 2030.
The parties expressed their readiness to expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
It was also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on economics and finance cooperation between the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the Turkiye.
The MoU was signed by Kahhorzoda and Şimşek.
This regulatory act will contribute to the further expansion of cooperation in the field of improving the efficiency of public financial management.
Kahhorzoda also met with the President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency Serkan Kayalar.
The parties had an exchange of views on current issues and prospects for cooperation in the economic and trade spheres, education and healthcare, energy, agriculture and other sectors.
The meeting focused on other areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
