Chairmen of the Committees of the Supreme Assembly Attend Meeting with Russian FM

DUSHANBE, 09.02.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On February 7, Moscow hosted a meeting between the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov and the chairmen of committees (commissions) of the parliaments of the CSTO member states, as well as the ambassadors of the Organization’s member states.
The meeting from Tajikistan was attended by the Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for Coordination of the Activities of the National Assembly with the Assembly of Representatives, the executive branch, public associations, the media and inter-parliamentary relations Farhod Rahimi, the Chairman of the Assembly of Representatives’s Committee for Law and Order, Defense and Security Rustam Shohmurod and the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Russia Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda.
The meeting participants discussed the main results of multifaceted cooperation in the CSTO format and outlined key tasks for further strengthening inter-parliamentary interaction and foreign policy coordination within the Organization.
Along with this, it was exchanged views on current issues of international and regional security.
