Number of Structural Divisions of Credit Financial Institutions Increased in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 19.02.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, there are 63 credit financial organizations operating in Tajikistan, including 15 traditional banks, 1 Islamic bank, 1 non-bank credit organization, 19 microcredit deposit organizations, 25 microcredit funds. This was reported by representatives of the National Bank of Tajikistan.
Assets and liabilities of financial institutions as of December 31, 2023 amounted to 37.7 billion somoni and 30.3 billion somoni, increasing compared to the same period in 2022 by 25.5% (or 7.6 billion somoni) and 27 .8% (or 6.6 billion somoni) respectively.
The balance sheet capital of credit financial institutions as of December 31, 2023 amounted to 7.4 billion somoni, increasing compared to the same date in 2022 by 1.1 billion somoni, or 16.9%.
