Tajikistan, Georgia to Strengthen Inter-Parliamentary Ties

DUSHANBE, 28.03.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the First Deputy Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives of Tajikistan, Mahmadali Vatanzoda, received the parliamentary delegation of Georgia under the leadership of the chairman of the Committee on International Relations, Nikoloz Samkharadze, who is in Tajikistan on a working visit.
The current state and future prospects of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Tajikistan and Georgia were discussed at the meeting.
It was emphasized that Tajikistan pays special attention to the further development of relations with Georgia, in particular strengthening inter-parliamentary ties.
The two sides affirmed their commitment to further stepping up the Tajikistan — Georgian Parliamentary Friendship Group. It was expressed that, through constant high-level dialogues, Tajik-Georgian relations will gain new content in all areas.
Also, Chairman of the Tajik Parliamentary Standing Committee on International Affairs, Public Unions and Information, Saidmurad Fattohzoda, met with his Georgian counterpart Nikoloz Samkharadze. During the meeting, they discussed the current state and prospects of inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries.
