Tajikistan Expands Cooperation with Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development

DUSHANBE, 14.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – A meeting between the Tajik delegation, headed by Usmonali Usmonzoda, Deputy Prime Minister, and Waleed Shimlan Al-Bahar, Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, was held yesterday in Kuwait City.
The parties discussed expanding cooperation in financing major infrastructure projects in Tajikistan, including the construction of highways, the rehabilitation of power grids and irrigation systems, and other areas of mutual interest.
Tajik side expressed gratitude to the Fund’s leadership for its continued support and valuable contribution to national infrastructure development — particularly the financing of the Rogun HPP, a strategic project enhancing Tajikistan’s energy security.
