Khatlon Region of Tajikistan and Leningrad Region of Russia to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 26.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On 24 June, Chairman of the Khatlon Region of Tajikistan Davlatali Said and Governor of the Leningrad Region of Russia Alexander Drozdenko discussed expanding industrial cooperation and experience exchange.
It was noted that Khatlon Region produces over 2 million tons of fruits and vegetables, 100 thousand tons of raw cotton, and 2 million tons of leather annually. However, Russian investment in the region currently accounts for less than 10%.
Davlatali Said also held a meeting with Konstantin Zagainov, Deputy Head of the Department of Industrial Policy and Innovation of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activities of the Leningrad Region.
During the meetings, both sides expressed their intention to continue cooperation in trade and economy, science and technology, and socio-cultural spheres.
