Tajik Delegation Participates in the Global India AI Impact Summit 2026

DUSHANBE, 20.02.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – A delegation of Tajikistan, led by the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan, Sherali Kabir, participated in the global artificial intelligence forum, the India AI Impact Summit 2026, which opened on 16 February in India and will continue until 20 February.
The Summit is being held under the leadership of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, the President of Brazil, and other high-level officials.
Representatives from more than 100 countries, international organizations, and leading global technology companies are participating in the Summit. Sherali Kabir was welcomed by Ashwini Vaishnaw, India’s Minister of Railways, Electronics and Information Technology, Information and Broadcasting, who highlighted Tajikistan’s active and high-level participation in discussions on global AI initiatives. The Tajik delegation presented national priorities in the field of industry and the industrial application of artificial intelligence.
The Summit focuses on the application of AI technologies to modernize production processes, enhance the efficiency of industrial enterprises, develop the digital economy, and create new advanced technology sectors. Plenary and thematic sessions addressed projects related to intelligent manufacturing systems, industrial automation, digital infrastructure management, and workforce training for the industry of the future.
On the sidelines of the Summit, the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan held a number of bilateral meetings with representatives of Indian government agencies, international organizations, and executives of leading companies in the field of industrial artificial intelligence.
The meetings focused on prospects for joint projects, investment cooperation, and the implementation of innovative solutions in Tajikistan’s industrial sector. Sherali Kabir also met with the Chief Executive Officer of OpenAI, Sam Altman, during which the parties discussed opportunities for applying OpenAI solutions to the digital transformation of Tajikistan’s industry and the implementation of joint pilot projects in the field of artificial intelligence.
