Tajikistan Labor Ministry Discusses Measures to Prevent Corruption Risks

The Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan held a meeting to discuss the implementation of the government resolution approving the methodology for conducting activity analysis related to corruption risks.
According to the ministry, the meeting focused on measures to prevent corruption risks and on implementing the approved methodology for analyzing institutional activities.
Officials noted that the ministry has established a working group to address corruption risks. The analysis is conducted in three stages: assessing preconditions, analyzing existing corruption risks and preparing an evaluation with recommendations to eliminate contributing factors. The first stage, the analysis of preconditions, is currently underway and is expected to be completed within one month.
Participants emphasized that the main objective of the analysis is to identify factors and conditions that could lead to corruption risks. Strengthening governance and internal control mechanisms, increasing transparency and efficiency in government institutions and developing effective preventive measures were highlighted as key steps in combating corruption.
During the meeting, a representative of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan presented recommendations on the procedures for conducting corruption risk analysis, developing the working group’s action plan and preparing the corruption risk assessment report.
