Khatlon Region and Shaanxi Apple Group Discuss Investment Cooperation and Horticulture Development

DUSHANBE, 13.07.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – Within the framework of strengthening economic and investment cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China, Chairman of Khatlon Region Davlatali Said held a meeting with Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shaanxi Apple Group Co., Ltd. Yang Sixiong.
According to the press service of the Chairman of Khatlon Region, the parties discussed expanding cooperation in agriculture, including the establishment of modern intensive apple orchards, production of high-quality planting materials, introduction of advanced agricultural technologies, as well as storage and processing of horticultural products.
Davlatali Said emphasized that Khatlon Region, with its favorable climate, fertile land and extensive potential for horticultural development, provides suitable conditions for implementing joint investment projects. Effective use of these opportunities could contribute to sustainable agricultural development, job creation and increased production of competitive agricultural products.
Yang Sixiong noted that Shaanxi Apple Group Co., Ltd. is ready to develop practical cooperation with Khatlon Region, sharing the company’s extensive experience in cultivating high-yield apple varieties, establishing intensive orchards and applying modern agricultural technologies.
The sides highlighted that the implementation of such experience could help increase productivity, improve product quality and expand exports of fruits and horticultural goods.
The meeting also addressed issues related to attracting investment, assessing opportunities for establishing intensive apple orchards, identifying suitable land plots for joint projects, developing necessary infrastructure, and expanding cooperation in agricultural product storage, packaging and processing.
The parties expressed confidence that the implementation of joint projects would make a significant contribution to the development of horticulture, introduction of modern technologies, improvement of production efficiency and further strengthening of economic cooperation between Tajikistan and China.
