Sughd Province expands agricultural cooperation with Chinese companies

DUSHANBE, 16.07.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – Sughd Province of Tajikistan is expanding cooperation with Chinese companies in agriculture, focusing on the introduction of modern farming technologies and cotton production equipment.
During a meeting in China between Sughd Governor Rajab Ahmadzoda and Ma Zhipeng, General Manager of the Chinese company “Boshiran,” the sides discussed cooperation in studying agricultural technologies and supplying modern machinery for cotton cultivation and harvesting.
Ahmadzoda noted that Sughd has significant agricultural potential, while modernization of technical capacity remains a key priority for increasing cotton production. He highlighted the need to equip cotton-growing districts, including Asht, Zafarobod, Mastchoh and Bobojon Ghafurov, with advanced machinery.
Ma Zhipeng said that “Boshiran” specializes in intelligent agricultural machinery covering the full cotton production cycle and also provides related services, including modern irrigation solutions.
Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on cooperation in supplying modern agricultural machinery, including cotton harvesting equipment, to Sughd Province.
