Tajikistan and Shaanxi Apple Group Discuss Investment and Modern Technologies for Apple Orchards Development

DUSHANBE, 13.07.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – At a meeting held on July 10 between Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda and Chairman of the Board of Directors of China’s Shaanxi Apple Group Co., Ltd. Yang Sixiong, the parties discussed attracting investment and introducing modern technologies for the establishment of apple orchards and processing enterprises in Tajikistan.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the meeting was held as part of efforts to implement the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Agro-Industrial Sector between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Shaanxi Apple Group Co., Ltd., signed on May 11, 2026 in Beijing.
Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda noted that, under the guidance and instructions of President Emomali Rahmon, favorable conditions have been created in Tajikistan for the development of orchards and vineyards. He emphasized that the country’s climate provides suitable opportunities for cultivating fruit crops, particularly apple orchards.
Yang Sixiong expressed the company’s readiness to establish long-term cooperation with Tajikistan, attract investment and introduce advanced technologies for the development of apple orchards and the creation of production facilities.
The meeting also addressed the possibility of establishing manufacturing enterprises using modern technologies in Tajikistan’s free economic zones.
