Tajikistan’s Experience and Initiatives in Digital Economy Development Presented at High-Level LLDCs Meeting

DUSHANBE, 15.07.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – As part of the World Summits on the Information Society (WSIS+20) and Artificial Intelligence held in Geneva, Switzerland, Director of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Khurshed Mirzo delivered a speech at the high-level meeting of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) in his capacity as coordinator of the group.
During his address, Khurshed Mirzo presented the common position of landlocked developing countries regarding the expansion of digital connectivity, implementation of the Awaza Programme of Action goals, and strengthening international cooperation.
He also highlighted Tajikistan’s experience and initiatives in developing the digital economy, promoting innovation, and utilizing artificial intelligence opportunities.
The participation of Tajikistan in this high-level event and its presentation on behalf of the LLDC Group demonstrates the country’s active role in strengthening international cooperation and advancing digital development.
