Griezmann named La Liga Player of Year, Diego Simeone top coach
Dushanbe, 25.10.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann was named La Liga player of the season for 2015/16 on Monday.
Atletico dominated the awards as Diego Simeone took the coach of the season award, Jan Oblak was best goalkeeper, Diego Godin top defender and Frenchman Griezmann claimed the fans’ award.
Barcelona’s Uruguay striker Luis Suarez was named the top non-EU player and Real Madrid’s Luka Modric was named best midfielder, according to Xinhua.
