Inter beat Lyon in the International Champions Cup tournament
DUSHANBE, 25.07.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Stevan Jovetic scored a second-half goal to help Inter beat Lyon 1-0 in an International Champions Cup match here on Monday, Xinhua reports.
The Montenegro striker intercepted a Lyon pass upfield in the 74th minute and sent it to Mario Eduardo, who returned it with a cut-back pass from the bottom line to see Jovetic drive the ball past Lyon goalkeeper Mathieu Gorgelin.
Inter came close to scoring in the 56th minute when a back pass from Jovetic put Gabriel Barbosa on a solo run, but the Brazilian sent a shot straight to Gorgelin.
In a sweltering night, Lyon could create no serious chance throughout the game.
