DUSHANBE, 30.01.2018 /NIAT «Khovar»/. The vice-champion of Tajikistan — football club “Khujand” sent the full application to the Asian Football Confederation for participation at the 2018 AFC Cup.

According to the press service of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, FC “Khujand” included 18 players (3 goalkeepers, 6 defenders, 6 midfielders and 3 attackers) in its application.

According to the rules of the tournament, “Khujand” can add 5 players up to 7 days before the first play-off match of the AFC Cup. In case of advancing to the group stage of the tournament, the silver medalist of Tajikistan can include 5 more players in its application.

We will recall that “Khujand” will hold its matches in the playoffs of the 2018 AFC Cup on February 13 and 20. The rival of Tajik club will be determined on January 30 following a return leg between Ashkhabad’s “Ahal” and the Bishkek’s “Dordoi”, which will take place in Balkanabad. The first match of this pair, which took place on January 23 in Bishkek, was ended with a victory of “Ahal” — 3:1.
