Tajikistan participates in the Paralympic Games for the first time
DUSHANBE, 05.03.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Tajikistan participates in the Paralympic Games to be held on March 9-18 in Pyeongchang for the first time. The team of Tajikistan consisting of 5 people on March 4 departed for the Republic of Korea.
According to the National Paralympic Committee of Tajikistan, our republic will be represented by Siyovush Ilyosov. He got a berth to the Paralympic Games at the World Cross-Country Skiing Cup.
The Tajik team also includes the trainer Ilhomiddin Abdulloev, the president of the National Paralympic Committee of Tajikistan Safar Boev, the head of the team Abdurauf Alimov and the vice-president of the National Association of Winter Sports Zinatullo Saidov.
670 sportsmen participate in the 12th Paralympic Games.
The program includes competitions in 6 disciplines (alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, sledge hockey, snowboarding, wheelchairs curling).
