2018 ASIAN GAMES: Tajik athlete Dilshod Nazarov won the silver medal!
DUSHANBE, 27.08.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The champion of the 2016 Rio Summer Olympic Games, the well-known Tajik hammer thrower Dilshod Nazarov on August 26 won silver medal of Asian Games, which are being held in Jakarta (Indonesia). NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan.
Thus, the 36-year-old athlete brought the first medal to the national team of Tajikistan at the 2018 Asian Games.
Nazarov threw a hammer at a distance of 74 meters 16 centimeters.
The 23-year-old athlete from Qatar Ashraf Al Sayfi with the result of 76 meters 88 centimeters became the champion of the Asian Games, and the bronze medal went to the native of Tajikistan, Suhrob Khojaev, who plays in the Uzbekistan national team — his result is 74 meters 6 centimeters.
