National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan and Australian Kingdom Sports Group will sign cooperation agreement
DUSHANBE, 29.08.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Ahtam Abdullozoda, Deputy President of the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan, held a number of meetings with representatives of international sports organizations during his working visit to Indonesia, where the Summer Asian Games are currently taking place.
In particular, Abdullozoda met with Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, President of the Olympic Council of Asia. The sides discussed issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation and Olympic progress in Tajikistan.
“By the 30th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan with the direct support of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, sports facilities will be built in all cities and districts, even in villages. A sports ground has been built and put into operation in Dushanbe city with financing of the Olympic Council of Asia”, — A. Abdullozoda informed.
The President of the Olympic Council of Asia noted that his side can assist in the construction of sports facilities in the villages of Tajikistan by adopting new projects and assisting in the acquisition of construction materials.
The parties also discussed the development of women’s sports. It was noted that 50% of the population of Tajikistan are women who make a significant contribution to the development of the country’s sport.
The President of the Olympic Council of Asia assessed the resilience and play of the Tajikistan women’s national football team at the Indonesia Summer Asian Games, despite its results.
“It is in this direction that we will implement our further projects with the President of Tajikistan Football Federation Rustami Emomali”, — Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah said.
Ahtam Abdullozoda, as part of his working visit, also met with the Managing Director of the Australian Kingdom Sports Group Daniel Beniston.
Daniel Beniston stressed that his company is ready to sponsor the team of Tajikistan in the development of sports and official clothes, providing food and accommodation, tickets to the competition site, preparing breastplates and commemorative medals during participation in regional sports games.
Following the meeting, the parties reached a unanimous decision on the nearest signing of an agreement on cooperation.
