In the second round of the group stage of the 2018 Asian Championship in Group A, the national junior football team of Tajikistan (U-16) shared points with one of the favorites of the tournament — the national team of Japan. In another match of this group, the national team of Thailand was stronger than the team of Malaysia — 4:2.

According to the results of two rounds, the Group A is headed by Japan, which scored 4 points. Thailand and Malaysia have by 3 points. Tajik juniors with one point are on the fourth place.

Now everything will be decided in the last round of the group stage of the 2018 Asian Championship. In order to reach the quarterfinals, Tajikistan should defeat Thailand in the final round, while counting that Japan will beat Malaysia.
