Direct Flights Will Connect Tajikistan and Georgia
DUSHANBE, 18.03.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Tajik and Georgian aviation authorities reached an agreement to establish direct flights between the cities of the two countries.
The memorandum of understanding on air traffic was signed last Wednesday in Tbilisi during a two-day visit of representatives of the Tajik Civil Aviation Agency to Georgia, reported the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency (GCAA).
The memorandum regulates technical issues related to the launch of direct flights before the signing of an intergovernmental bilateral agreement on air traffic.
In accordance with this memorandum, the parties have the right to designate one or more airlines to carry out direct regular passenger flights and air freight traffic.
Designated companies have the right to fly to any point in Georgia and Tajikistan.
The Civil Aviation Agency of Tajikistan also confirmed the signing of this memorandum.
