Istiklol FC Started AFC Cup 2019 With a Major Victory Over Khujand FC
DUSHANBE, 04.04.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The champion of Tajikistan Istiklol FC beat the vice-champion of the country Khujand FC with the score of 3:0 in the starting match of Group D in the AFC Cup 2019.
Twelve thousand spectators attended the match, which was held yesterday in the Central Republican Stadium of Dushanbe. Ruslan Koryan (two) and Alisher Jalilov (one) scored goals for Istiklol FC, reports the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
In another match of this group between the champion of Kyrgyzstan Dordoy FC and Turkmenistan’s Altyn Asyr FC ended in a draw, with a score of 1:1.
Following the results of the first round, Istiklol FC leads in the group with three points. Dordoy FC and Altyn Asyr have one point each.
The matches of the second round will be played on April 17. Istiklol FC will play against Altyn Asyr FC in Ashgabat and in its field Khujand FC will play against Kyrgyzstan’s Dordoy FC.
