Dushanbe Hosts a Meeting of the Coordinating Council of the CIS Heads of Tax Investigating Bodies
DUSHANBE, 23.08.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The next meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Heads of Tax (financial) Investigating Bodies of member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS CCHTI) will be held today in Dushanbe, reports the CIS Executive Committee.
This year’s event will be devoted to the activities of the tax (financial) investigating bodies of the CIS member states on ensuring the economic security of their states, strengthening and improving cooperation in the context of further economic integration, measures to combat crime in the credit and financial sphere and much more.
The delegates will consider proposals for improving national legislation, as well as initiatives to develop the legal framework of international cooperation among law enforcement agencies of the CIS.
The CIS CCHTI was created in 2000 to interact in the fight against violations of tax legislation. Its main tasks are the exchange of information, the development of recommendations and suggestions for the identification, prevention and suppression of such offenses.
In addition, the CCHTI contributes to the improvement and harmonization of the national legislations of the CIS member states and the development of the legal framework of international cooperation in the fight against violations of tax laws.
Members of the CIS CCHTI are the authorized bodies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.
