Tajikistan Leads the World’s Top 10 Fastest Growing Tourist Destinations
DUSHANBE, 19.10.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan with 190.1% growth in tourists influx topped the Top 10 world’s fastest growing tourist destinations and is ahead of countries such as Iran and Turkey. These data was presented by the AFAR multi-platform travel media brand.
Placing Tajikistan on the list’s first line, AFAR notes that after welcoming only 431,000 visitors in 2017, Tajikistan saw massive growth last year with 1,250,000 tourists after the government declared 2018 the Year of Tourism and simplified the visa restrictions.
More travelers are curious to discover this mountainous nation. If you would like to visit Tajikistan, Wild Frontiers is launching a new Tajikistan itinerary in July 2020.
