Prime Minister Rasulzoda Examines the Construction of Dushanbe — Bokhtar Highway
DUSHANBE, 13.12.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda examined the implementation of the first and second phase of the construction and renovation of the Dushanbe-Bokhtar Highway.
Over 250 people worked to complete the 33.2 kilometer highway during its first phase. Of the total number of employees, 92% are local specialists.
Currently workers are widening the road from 16 to 25 meters.
The plan also includes the construction of four bridges, 69 pipelines, and lighting in the surrounding areas.
The construction period of the first phase is set at three years.

Over 360 people and 102 vehicles were involved in the implementation of the second phase, which covered 39.6 kilelometers and the construction of one bridge, 46 water pipes, terrain for running pets, 18 stops and three crossings.
The second phase is scheduled to be completed in 2021.
Rasulzoda noted the importance of planting decorative and shadow-forming trees to improve the surrounding area simultaneously with the expansion of the construction process.
