CCI Chairman: Coronavirus Gave Impetus to the Development of Effective Online Business Practices
DUSHANBE, 16.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – As strange as it may sound, it was the coronavirus that gave impetus to the development of effective online business practices, said the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Tajikistan Jamshed Jumakhonzoda during a press conference.
According to him, active entrepreneurs during this period had fewer competitors, but there were more opportunities for finding new sales markets.
“Development partners want to work with companies that are interested in promoting their products and are ready to take certain risks, including the willingness to bear higher expenses, to achieve the ultimate goal. Unfortunately, the number of such entrepreneurs in our country today is small,” Jumakhonzoda noted.
Regarding the organization of fairs of domestic manufacturers inside and outside the country, he stated that during the reporting period, 12 exhibitions were held in Tajikistan.
“Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the universal exhibition Tajikistan-2020, which was planned for March, has been postponed. We were able to ensure the participation of ten domestic companies in the 27th International Exhibition of Food and Beverages ProdExpo-2020, which was held from February 10 through February 14 in Moscow,” Jumakhonzoda added.
