Deputy FM Huseynzoda and Dutch Vice-Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Discuss State of Bilateral Relations

DUSHANBE, 29.08.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Muzaffar Huseinzoda held a phone call with the Dutch Vice-Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Kitty van der Heijden.
The parties discussed the current situation and prospects of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and the Netherlands in various fields, including political, economic and humanitarian, as well as future joint activities in the international arena.
In this regard, they emphasized the importance of organizing bilateral meetings and business forums with the participation of representatives of leading agricultural companies and business circles of the two countries after the stabilization of the situation related to the pandemic.
They also exchanged views on collaboration between the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations, as well as the UN and European Union, and stressed the need to further expand the links.
In this context, both parties expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation within the framework of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028,” and reiterated their readiness to continue joint work on the successful organization of the UN Conference on the Midterm Comprehensive Review of the Implementation of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018- 2028,» which is scheduled for March 22-24, 2023 in New York.
