Rustam Khojaev Appointed Khujand’s Head Coach

DUSHANBE, 19.01.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the management of the Khujand FC appointed Rustam Khojaev as the new head coach.
The coaching staff of Khojaev included Farrukh Marofiev as a senior coach, Mansur Hakimov as a selection coach and Alisher Tuychiev as a goalkeeper coach.
Khojaev headed Khujand from 2017 through 2018 and won the 2017 Tajikistan Cup and the silver medal in the 2017 championship.
In the 2020 season, Khojaev entered the coaching staff of Nikola Lazarevich, after his departure he served as acting head coach, and with the arrival of Hakim Fuzailov, he became his assistant.
“I have a special feeling, I am very glad that I was again entrusted with this large club with a rich history and traditions. I would like to thank the leadership of the Sughd region Rajabboy Ahmadzod and the club’s director Murodjon Umarov for their trust,” Khojaev said after his appointment.

“I have good expectations for the upcoming season, I believe in my players, we are determined to win every match. And, of course, in our business we are waiting for the support of Khujand fans. I, while still a football player, came to Khujand, coached this team and I know that they love and support it in a special way!” Khodjayev added.
