Istiklol to Kick Off the AFC Champions League Against Shabab Al Ahli

DUSHANBE, 30.01.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced the calendar of the 2021 AFC Champions League, where will play Istiklol.
According to the draw results, which took place on January 27, Istiklol will play in Group A against Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Shabab Al Ahli (UAE), as well as the winner of a pair of playoffs Al-Garafa (Qatar) and AGMK (Uzbekistan).
In the group stage, Istiklol will play six matches. In their debut match, Tajik club will play against Shabab Al Ahli on April 15.
The group stage in the West zone will be held in a centralized format from April 14 through April 30, and in the East zone — from April 21 through May 7.
Following the group stage, the winners of five groups in each zone, as well as three teams that take second places with the best indicators, will qualify for the 1/8 finals of the 2021 AFC Champions League.
