Accounts Chamber Reveals Financial Damage Worth Over 252 Million

DUSHANBE, 04.02.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – While auditing the activities in budgetary organizations and institutions, shortcomings were revealed, mainly due to incorrect planning of budget funds, incorrect calculations, and payments of wages of employees, travel expenses and other deductions to the budget. Also, shortcomings are revealed in the postscript of construction work, non-compliance with fuel consumption rates, unjustified write-offs of valuable goods and materials, and inflating the cost of purchased goods and materials. This was stated today by the Chairman of the Accounts Chamber Karakhon Chillazoda at a press conference.
Chillazoda noted that during the reporting period, the Accounts Chamber conducted 272 audits in ministries, departments, centers, groups for the implementation of investment projects, banks, enterprises and other budgetary institutions. Financial losses amounted to over 252 million somoni. Compared to the previous year, the number of audits decreased by 36, and the identified financial losses amounted to 18.2 million somoni more.
