Online Sales Market Is Rapidly Expanding in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 04.03.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan is making significant strides towards expanding e-commerce. This was stated today in Dushanbe at the first meeting of the Council for the Development of Electronic Commerce under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).
According to the CCI Chairman Jamshed Jumakhonzoda, the digitization of the national economy is an important public platform for the promotion and development of electronic commerce.
“The online sales market is rapidly expanding and will continue to grow,” he said.
Monitoring of national legislation on e-commerce and cooperation with relevant ministries and departments, national and international organizations, industry associations, business associations, individual companies working in the field of e-commerce is one of the priorities of the E-Commerce Development Council.
The establishment of the Council for the Development of Electronic Commerce is a timely and important step that will contribute to strengthening of electronic commerce in the country.
The meeting participants noted that a legal basis for the development of e-commerce has been created in Tajikistan.
