Istiklol to Hold 2021 AFC Champions League Group Stage in Saudi Arabia

DUSHANBE, 12.03.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The group stage of the 2021 AFC Champions League in Group A with the participation of Istiklol FC will be held in Saudi Arabia. Istiklol will play against Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia) and Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai (UAE), as well as the winner of the playoff pair Al-Garafa (Qatar) — AGMK (Uzbekistan).
In the group stage, Istiklol will play six matches. In its debut match, Istiklol will play against Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai on April 15.
The group stage in the West zone will be held in a centralized format from April 14 through April 30, and in the East zone from April 21 through May 7.
According to the regulations, following the group stage, the winners of five groups in each zone, as well as three other clubs that take second places in their groups with the best indicators, will reach the 1/8 finals.
