BOKHTAR, 09.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Belarusian delegation headed by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Ivan Krupko visited Khatlon, where they got acquainted with the activities of farmers, in particular, with the Asadullo farm.
The farm makes a significant contribution to providing the domestic market with high-quality, environmentally friendly products. It works in cooperation with agricultural specialists from developed countries, including Belarus.
The delegation talked with business executives, and discussed the work of greenhouses and the effective use of land, and the introduction of new methods of land cultivation.
They also got acquainted with the activities of the Hosilot seed farm.
Its greenhouses yield a high number of lemons. In 2020, this farm provided the domestic market with more than 4 tonnes of lemons. The farm also produces tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage, cucumbers, and other vegetables.
The Belarusian delegation was received by the Chairman of the Khatlon region Kurbon Hakimzoda.
“Khatlon is one of the largest agricultural regions of Tajikistan. Its agricultural products are also exported to Belarus and neighboring countries. Working equipment on agricultural land in Khatlon is mainly imported from Belarus in accordance with state projects. High-quality plowing and land preparation is carried out by the use of Belarusian tractors, which testifies to mutually beneficial cooperation,” said Hakimzoda.
Krupko expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between Tajikistan and Belarus. It is planned to start a number of projects to encourage farmers in Khatlon soon.
