DUSHANBE, 27.05.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – In order to achieve and realize the instructions of the government of Tajikistan to increase its export potential in the field of agriculture and to improve the competitiveness of agribusiness within Bokhtarfood-2021 Forum, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the US Agency for International Development Project (USAID), Agribusiness Competitiveness Activity in Tajikistan (ACAT), the admistration of Khatlon region and other partners organized an exhibition of agricultural products on May 25.
The exhibition presented organic fruits and vegetables, dried fruits, canned products, dairy products, water and juices, among other items.
The opening ceremony was attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister Davlatali Said, Chairman of Khatlon Kurbon Hakimzoda, USAID Acting Mission Director in Tajikistan Keith E. Simmons, heads and representatives of ministries and agencies, international organizations, guests and representatives of diplomatic corps from Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Lithuania, Georgia and Pakistan.
The exhibition provided an opportunity for producers of domestic products to demonstrate the potential opportunities in the field of export of agricultural products to guests and visitors.
