Dushanbe To Host 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers

DUSHANBE, 07.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has approved the countries that will host the 2022 U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers. The matches of one group will be held from October 23 through 31 in Dushanbe.
The 2022 Asian Cup qualifiers in the West Zone will take place in Tajikistan, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. In the East zone, the groups will be hosted by Mongolia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Chinese Taipei.
The draw for the qualifiers will be held on July 9 in Tashkent.
The qualifiers will be attended by 43 teams, which will be divided into 11 groups based on the draw. Six groups will be formed in the West zone, and five in the East.
The final part of the 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup, which will be held from June 1 through June 19 next year in Uzbekistan, will include 11 group winners and 4 best teams that took second places.
