PM Rasulzoda Meets Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology

DUSHANBE, 13.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda met with the Minister of Industry and Technology of Turkey, co-chairman of the Tajik and Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation Mustafa Varank.
The meeting focused on bilateral and multilateral issues.
The parties exchanged useful views on strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, highways, transport, construction, industry, education, science, agriculture, energy, and tourism.
They noted that, despite the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the trade turnover between Tajikistan and Turkey has amounted to $187 million in the first half of 2021, which is 17.4% more than in the same period in 2020.
The parties also stressed that the existing opportunities between Tajikistan and Turkey have not yet been fully used. Therefore, they noted the need to intensify the activities of the relevant departments of both sides within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
