New Season of the Tajikistan’s Top League Football Championship Starts on April 1

DUSHANBE, 14.01.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The new season of the Tajikistan’s Top League football championship starts on April 1 and, like last year, will be held in two stages. This date was approved at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, which took place on January 13.
On the first stage all ten clubs will play in two rounds. Then, in the second stage, the clubs will be divided into two groups. In total, at the end of the season, each club will play 22 matches in the championship.
It was also decided to leave the limit on foreign players unchanged. As in the previous year, each club will be able to include a maximum of seven foreign players in its squad for the season, while five foreign players can be on the field at the same time.
In addition, it was decided to leave the number of participants in the championship in 2024 unchanged — 10 clubs.
