DUSHANBE, 28.01.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – This morning, the delegation of Tajikistan led by the Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda left for Algeria to attend 17th OIC Parliamentary Union meeting.

The visit will take place at the invitation of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and will continue from January 28 through January 31.

Zokirzoda is expected to attend and speak at the 17th OIC Parliamentary Union meeting.

OIC plays an important role as a broad platform for responding to the modern challenges and eliminating their political, security, economic and social consequences in the Islamic world.

Tajikistan, having identified the OIC as one of the important aspects of its foreign policy, is interested in strengthening its role in solving urgent regional and international problems and seeks to expand broad cooperation between the OIC Member States.
