DUSHANBE, 10.02.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Dushanbe hosted the signing ceremony of the Agreement between Tajikistan Judo Federation and the Japanese J-Sport organization.
The agreement was signed by the President of Tajikistan Judo Federation Ismoil Mahmadzoir and the Head of J-Sport, Japanese professor Ozikey Takakhiso.
“The project is designed until 2028 and will be implemented during the Olympic cycles — Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028,” the leadership of the Federation emphasized.
As part of the agreement, the Federation plans to train national qualified coaches, judges, and will also conduct targeted selection among teenagers, juniors and youth throughout the country.
One of the main reasons for attracting Japanese specialists and introducing the Japanese method of training judoists is their results in the international arena.
“Tajik athletes have good potential, and we will try to make every effort to successfully implement this promising project,” said Professor Takakhiso.
It was reported that the construction of the Tajik Judo Academy in Dushanbe will begin soon, as well as Federation plans to open judo centers in the regional centers of the country.
