Honorable President of the country Emomali Rahmon stated in his speech that today the issue of unification of the international community to solve the issues related to water has gained double importance.
Water as the main source of life is under severe pressure due to the effects of climate change, rapid population growth, urban expansion and other factors affecting it.
In order to change this trend, it is necessary to take urgent measures at all levels.
It was emphasized that precisely for this reason, Tajikistan has been steadily promoting issues related to water and climate for the past two decades, playing an effective role in the global development agenda.
Cooperation in the field of water over the past decades has led to the fact that countries with different geographical, economic development, cultural and linguistic differences make joint efforts to implement water-related goals.
It should be said that Tajikistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands have done a lot in a relatively short period of time to promote issues related to water and climate.
The heads of state stated that we consider this partnership as an example of cooperation and solidarity, especially between developed and developing countries, upstream and downstream.
The President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, expressed gratitude to the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the beneficial cooperation in this process.
In the end, the Heads of State confidently stated that the international community will make joint efforts in promoting the global water issue through cooperation and mutual support using existing mechanisms to solve water problems in all countries.
