Tajik Football Team Will Play the First Match at CAFA Nations Cup 2023 Against Turkmenistan

DUSHANBE, 27.04.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The calendar of matches of the CAFA Nations Cup 2023, which will be held from June 10 through June 20 under the auspices of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA), has been determined, reports the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
According to the results of the draw, Tajikistan will play in Group A against Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Oman. Matches of this group will be held in Tashkent.
Tajikistan will play its first match on June 11 against Turkmenistan.
In the second round, on June 14, Tajik team will play against Oman. In the final round, on June 17, Tajikistan will meet with Uzbekistan.
According to the regulations of the CAFA Nations Cup, at the group stage, the matches will be held in a round robin system in one round. Then the winners of the groups will meet in the final. Teams that take second place in their groups will compete for third place.
