DUSHANBE, 29.05.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – As part of the first round of the World Men and Women Chess Championship, an international tournament is being held in Dushanbe.
The best chess players of Central Asia will decide the fate of two vouchers for the world championship among men and one voucher for women.
Chess players from 5 Central Asian countries take part in international chess competitions in Dushanbe, including 9 athletes from Uzbekistan (7 men and 2 women), 8 players from Turkmenistan (5 men and 3 women), 2 chess players from Kyrgyzstan (1 man and 1 woman) and 14 chess players from Kazakhstan (7 men and 7 women).
Tajikistan is represented by 10 chess players (8 men and 2 women).
